Ocean Club (also known as the Atlantic Ocean Club Condominium) is an eighteen story condominium of two and three bedroom units located on the Ocean in Fort Lauderdale.
Residents of Ocean Club walk to a large Winn-Dixie grocery store, Banking and a wide array of retail establishments. There are many fine restaurants in the immediate area.
Ocean Club recreational facilities include a large, rooftop swimming pool and sun deck, tennis court and health rooms with saunas, steam rooms and exercise equipment. On the "Club Level" there are separate rooms for Cards, Entertaining, Art and Sculpture, Billiards and Ping Pong and a separate room for Children's Activities. The Condominium's own security force provides two full time
officers, seven days a week twenty-four hours a day.
A concrete restoration project is underway at Ocean Club which will result in the renovation of the building's balconies, replacement of concrete railings with aluminum railings, and the installation of a cathodic protection system intended to protect the building's balconies and other concrete structures from further deterioration.
The project is slated to be completed in February of 2004. The engineer for the work is Taurinski Engineering of Boca Raton and the contractor is Aqua-Shield, Inc. of Hollywood.
